This week, I propose a small selection of podcasts on the blog. Being French my selection will mainly address to Francophones. But I still recommend an international podcast. 😉
SERIAL – American Podcast
The podcast Serial is known worldwide, it is the origin of the launch of many others, including some French podcasts.
During 12 episodes we follow the journalist Sarah Koenig who investigates an old case from 1999. The impact of the podcast is so strong that the trial reopened recently.
Sarah Koenig then meets Adnan Syed who, at the time of high school, was accused of murdering his ex-girlfriend. He has been imprisoned for almost 20 years for a murder that he has always claimed not to have committed. The journalist goes back to all the details of the investigation, she questions the witnesses again and is confronted with a lot of doubts and incoherence.
The best: following the journalist day by day in her doubts and questions. She meets professionals in the field who give her advice. A truly captivating podcast.
The worst: The podcast really comes into every detail, you can get lost in the information. We sometimes want to take notes!
TRANSFERT – French Podcast
Transfert must be my favorite podcast, the one that I look forward to every 2 weeks and even replaces the series!
Each episode is unique, we can listen to them in disorder starting with the season of our choice. In each of them, a person, like you and me, tells his story in the first person. No interruption, a little background music and the voice of the person transports you to his universe. I have been driving while listening to this podcast by car and traveled completely in the story.
The stories are personal, can be happy, sad, moving, intriguing. Sometimes all at once, but in any case they make us think.
The best: everything!
The worst: nothing
An episode that I recommend: the 1st of season #1 – How far can we go to become friends with the neighbors?
GENERATION XX – French Podcast
I can hardly write an article without mentioning Generation XX. If you have read one of the first articles of the blog, you know that Generation XX is at the origin of my inspiration for the creation of Gaston in Barcelona.
Each week, Siham interviews passionate, creative, flawed, inspirational and inspiring women.
The best: the podcast is very inspiring. It allows to know stories of brands and people and it brings you new ideas.
The worst: pay attention to the risks of sudden change of life!
An episode I recommend: Marine Sorato, founder of the Sorato bag brand.
Chiffon – French Podcast
In Chiffon, Valérie Tribes, a French journalist, interviews men and women, known or unknown, and asks them for their opinion on fashion, on their wardrobe, on their definition of elegance.
The best: small episodes of about twenty minutes very creative and that liberate us in our vision of fashion. As many episodes as opinions and different styles to discover.
The worst: it takes a minimum of interest in fashion, you can get tired tired otherwise.
An episode I recommend: An episode of Season 2: # 5 – Marie Courroy of Fashion Trotter “I have indulgence for the faults of taste”
@all: do you know these podcasts? Do you have others to recommend?
