This week we travel to the other side of the Atlantic with Therese’s trip to Costa Rica!

A place you loved

The natural park of Cahuita with its diversified fauna: blue morpho, coati, monkey capuchin, frog with red eyes (emblem of Costa Rica) etc …

Meet the locals

During the journey between La Fortuna (village near the Arenal Volcano) and Monteverde, we took a track rained down by the rains. We were almost out of fuel for lack of gas station and in the middle of nowhere when we saw what seemed to be a school. We were able to make ourselves understood by the teacher and he very kindly asked one of his students to accompany us in the car to bring us to a place where we would find fuel. We then took the child back to his school. Costa Rica people are extremely kind and helpful.

A dish that you liked

We can not say that it is very refined cuisine but in general it was good. I remember tasty meat skewers at the Posada Café in San Jose.

An experiment or an activity

The crocodiles seen from the bridge in the Rio Tarcolès going from Manuel Antonio to San José. It was crammed with crocodiles!

A garment, a pair of shoes or an accessory

An umbrella or rather a rainwear, accessory that we did not have. Tropical rains in Costa Rica are frequent and sudden. In Manuel Antonio Park, we had a very heavy shower and we finished wet from head to toe, clothes and shoes remained wet until our return, the humidity is very important, nothing dry.

@all: do you want to travel to the sun?
